Comfort & Clarity Without the Bulk

Contact lenses can be an excellent alternative to glasses, providing crisp vision with added functionality. Most typical contact lenses are made of materials that are comfortable and easy to wear.

Contact lenses are small plastic discs that rest on the cornea, held in place by the tear film. They are primarily worn to correct refractive errors such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism.

An Alternative to Eyeglasses

Contacts are useful for playing sports and can allow greater freedom of expression when it comes to fashion or makeup. Additionally, some occupations require headgear or masks, making glasses a less than ideal choice.

Contact lenses can comfortably suit most lifestyles. Some people choose to wear contact lenses daily, while others wear them only for special occasions. The choice is yours!

There are several types of contact lenses. During your exam, we will run a series of tests to determine what will work best for you!

Technology That Works for You

We use a variety of technologies and tests to measure your eyes and ensure contact lenses are right for you. Ill-fitted contact lenses can cause discomfort and even long-term damage, so it is important to find a style that suits your needs.

Corneal Topography

Corneal topography is a non-invasive imaging technique that measures the curvature of your cornea. In a similar way to how a mountain is displayed on a topographic map, the test will pinpoint any corneal irregularities that may require specialty contact lenses.

Although optical coherence tomography is mainly used to detect signs of retinal disease, it can help fit scleral contact lenses. OCT produces an image that shows a cross-section of the eye.

As scleral lenses vault over the cornea and primarily rest on the sclera, evaluating the scleral shape is essential for a proper fit.

Anterior segment imaging is a form of optical coherence tomography that focuses on capturing images of the anterior segment ocular features (the front third of the eye). These images can help us to detect any abnormalities that may require specialty contact lenses.

We offer specialty lenses that can help provide comfort and clear vision for eyes with corneal irregularities.
